I've gone from wearing a few hats to... many. The last few months have been wonderful: I've launched two sites (more on those later), started my LLC, and begun proving out a dev pipeline with Unreal Engine, Python, and a little AI.

Having the freedom to focus on your own projects is interesing. You're accountable for everything and the hours are longer, but the agility means the ROI for your effort is much higher.

Here's to a busy and gratifying 2026!

At the beginning of October, 2025, I informed my manager that I would be departing at the end of the year. Providing three months' notice is an interesting experience professionally, logistically, and emotionally.
